Ahead of the 2027 governorship election, a coalition of All Progressives Congress (APC) support groups in the Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara State has endorsed the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Salihu Yakubu Danladi.
The endorsement was made during a press conference and rally held in Okuta, where participants marched through parts of the town displaying campaign materials in support of the Speaker.
Speaking at the event, the spokesman of the coalition, Mallam Abdullahi Idris, said the Speaker “has contributed to the development of different parts of the district, especially in areas of water supply and youth empowerment, among others”.
He also said that “several communities have benefited from boreholes and employment opportunities”, adding that the lawmaker has also supported many individuals in times of need.
