The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, has called on civil servants across the country to reaffirm their commitment to national service as Christians mark the 2026 Easter celebration.
In her Easter message addressed to the Nigerian workforce, Walson-Jack described Easter as a season of profound reflection, symbolizing sacrifice, renewal, resilience, and the triumph of hope.
She noted that these virtues are central to the identity and responsibilities of public servants entrusted with advancing national development.
“Easter is more than a commemoration; it is a profound testament to the power of sacrifice, the promise of renewal, and the triumph of hope over despair.
“It calls on us to reflect deeply on the timeless virtues of selflessness, resilience, and unwavering dedication to service,” she stated.

The Head of Service urged civil servants to embody diligence, innovation, integrity, and patriotism, stressing that the current national aspirations demand a highly committed and globally competitive civil service.
She encouraged workers to remain steadfast despite challenges, and to work collaboratively towards building an efficient and transparent Federal Civil Service.
Walson-Jack expressed optimism that the season would inspire a renewed sense of purpose among public servants and strengthen their resolve to deliver quality service to Nigerians.
“May this season inspire in us a deeper sense of purpose, strengthen our resolve to deliver quality service, and renew our commitment to the ideals of nation-building,” she added.
She wished all civil servants and their families a peaceful, joyful, and blessed Easter celebration.
