If Texas A&M men’s basketball is going to capture its third straight win Wednesday, it’ll have to do something it’s done only once since 1987.
The Aggies (19-8, 9-5 SEC) are 1-15 against Arkansas on the road, last beating the Razorbacks (20-7, 10-4) in Bud Walton Arena 39 years ago.
No. 20 Arkansas enters having won four of its last five games and has gone 14-1 in its friendly confines.
A&M is 5-4 in true road games and won Saturday against Oklahoma in Norman. Prior to taking down Oklahoma, the Aggies lost three consecutive road games in the middle of a five-game skid.
While Arkansas is seemingly well within the NCAA Tournament field entering the second-to-last week of the regular season, A&M continues to fight. A road win over the Razorbacks could be a highlight on its tournament resume.
