President Bola Tinubu is set to inaugurate six major infrastructure projects delivered by the Lagos State Government as he begins a two-day working visit to the state.
The President will, on Wednesday and Thursday, April 9th, commission the infrastructure projects described as “iconic, transformative and legacy projects” delivered by the Sanwo-Olu administration.
A statement issued by the Presidential Spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga, listed the projects to include the iconic Ojota/Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information System Building, the Multi-Agency Complex named after the President, and a school complex.
The 5.04-kilometre Ojota/Opebi Link Bridge, according to the Lagos State Government, is expected to ease traffic congestion across the metropolis, while the Lagos State Geographic Information System Building is expected to transform the state’s land records, among other functions.
Also slated for inauguration is the newly completed Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle, which comprises 36 public schools—31 secondary schools and five primary schools— situated in the densely populated Ajegunle area of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government on an estimated 11.73 hectares of land.
The statement also said the President, before returning to Abuja, will visit Bayelsa State on April 10 to commission some of Governor Duoye Diri’s completed projects.
