UCL: Real Madrid walk tight rope in Bayern tie as Arsenal seal late win

Real Madrid fell to a 2-1 defeat in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League clash against Bayern Munich at the Bernabeu on Tuesday night.

Bayern drew the first blood through Luis Diaz, before Harry Kane marked his comeback from injury with a superb strike to put the visitors in command.

Kylian Mbappe then pulls a goal back for Real Madrid from a Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross in the 72nd minute.

In another Champions League quarterfinal clash, Arsenal scored a late goal to seal a 1-0 win over Sporting in Portugal.

The pressure was on Arsenal coming into this match after they suffered back-to-back defeats for the first time this season.

Martin Zubimendi thought he had given the Gunners a second-half lead when he curled in, but the strike was ruled out as Viktor Gyokeres was offside in the build-up.

It was Kai Havertz who finally broke the deadlock, scoring a stoppage-time winner to hand the Gunners advantage ahead of the second leg of the tie.
