The First Lady of Anambra State, Nonye Soludo, has extended warm greetings to Christian and Muslim faithful as they begin the sacred seasons of Lent and Ramadan, describing the periods as profound opportunities for spiritual renewal and moral rebirth.
In a statement personally issued on Wednesday, Mrs Soludo said the holy seasons offer unique moral and spiritual moments for adherents of both faiths, urging them to recommit to love, peace, and selflessness.
She described the observances as significant spiritual obligations during which acts of faith are measured through compassion, charity, sacrifice, and service to humanity. https://bcfma.com/admission/
Reflecting on Lent, which begins on Ash Wednesday in the Christian liturgical calendar, the First Lady noted that the 40-day period is marked by prayer, supplication, and atonement.
“Ash Wednesday reminds us of the brevity of life, the fleeting nature of worldly pursuits, and God’s enduring promise of eternal life,” she said.
“During these 40 days of Lent, we are called to reflect deeply, embody the true image of Christ, and lay aside the swords of enmity and bitterness for the greater good of mankind.”

Addressing Muslim faithful, Mrs Soludo described the holy month of Ramadan as a renewed opportunity for spiritual reflection, self-discipline, sacrifice, and devotion to God.
“This sacred month is a significant spiritual obligation during which faith is expressed through selflessness, peace, charity, and community service,” she said.
“To the Muslim Ummah in Anambra State and beyond observing this important religious rite, may the blessings of Ramadan abound in your homes and across our communities. Ramadan Kareem.”
Mrs Soludo, founder of the Nonye Soludo Healthy Living Initiative, reiterated her call for unity, mutual respect, and sustained commitment to moral values during and beyond the sacred seasons.
