Your service was impactful, Immigration CG hails retired DCG, Ayeni – Tribune Online


‎The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Kemi Nanna Nandap, has commended the outstanding contributions of retired Deputy Comptroller General (DCG) Afolayan Ayeni, describing his service as impactful and exemplary.

CGIS ‎Nandap, who was represented by the Assistant Comptroller General in charge of Works and Logistics Directorate, ACG Samson Agada, gave the commendation during a thanksgiving ceremony last Saturday in honour of Ayeni following his retirement from active service.

‎The event, held at the JAGZ Hotel conference hall at Iyaganku GRA, Ibadan, Oyo State, and marked by tributes, celebrated Ayeni’s distinguished career and immense contributions to the Service and the nation.

The occasion, chaired by the ACG Kehinde Adeyinka (rtd), attracted a large gathering of senior officers, serving and retired, as well as friends, associates, and family members.

‎In his welcome address, Assistant Comptroller-General Idris Akande Ozigi appreciated attendees for turning out in large numbers to honour what he described as a unique and highly respected personality.

After the celebrant’s citation, which was presented in the form of a documentary, colleagues, friends, and associates shared glowing testimonials about Ayeni’s dedication, professionalism, and commitment to excellence.

‎Speakers described him as a disciplined officer whose legacy would continue to inspire future generations in the Service.

He was joined by his wife, family members in cutting the cake to celebrate his successful tenure while in office.

‎In his response, DCG Ayeni (rtd) expressed gratitude to God for a successful career and appreciated the Comptroller General of Immigration Service for the confidence reposed in him during his years of service.

‎He also thanked his family, friends, and well-wishers for their unwavering support.

‎The ceremony ended on a celebratory note, leaving attendees with lasting memories of a life dedicated to service, integrity, and national development.
