Car lands on to top of vehicle after chase ends in Claremont crash

CLAREMONT, Calif. (KABC) — A short police chase ended in a wild crash in Claremont overnight, with the suspect car crashing and landing on top of another vehicle.

The incident unfolded around 2 a.m. Tuesday after Baldwin Park police officers initiated the pursuit at Towne Avenue in Pomona.

The driver, who was wanted for speeding, fled for a few minutes before flying off the freeway and crashing into another car in a Norm’s parking lot off Indian Hill Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

One person was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
