Driver Tased after Santa Clarita crash caught on video

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (KABC) — A crash caught on video in Santa Clarita led to even more chaos over the weekend.

The two-car collision happened Sunday afternoon in the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Oak Ridge Drive, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.

Footage captured the moment a white sedan ran a red light and violently crashed into another car.

After the collision, deputies say one of the drivers tried to fight the other person involved. When deputies stepped in to stop the fight, the man reportedly turned his aggression on them.

Video shows a deputy deploying a Taser against that individual, but the man refused to follow commands and ran away.

Deputies eventually arrested that driver. He was booked for hit-and-run and resisting arrest.

At least one person was taken to the hospital to get checked out after the crash.
